Faultliner’s mix of traditional ballads, bluegrass classics, and timeless originals has made them today’s most in-demand bluegrass band in Southern California. They draw inspiration from across the spectrum of bluegrass and old-time music, new and old. The band consists of four of LA’s finest acoustic musicians: Jared Tashjian on mandolin, Jace Mason on guitar, Taylor Estes on bass, and Jeramy Ott, winner of the 2024 Topanga Banjo Contest. While their instrumental prowess is undeniable, their harmony singing is what sets them apart, harkening back to the early brother-duets of another time. No two Faultliner songs sound the same, yet every show lands with the right amount of familiarity and spontaneity. Bluegrass die-hards and bluegrass first-timers all agree, a band such as Faultliner is exactly why we love to see real-life people play real-life music.
